Hplex Solutions proudly served as the Owner’s Representative for the development of **Mount Carmel Dublin**, a state-of-the-art hospital and medical campus that opened in **April 2025**.

The project features a 246,000-square-foot, 60-bed hospital and 14-bed emergency department, providing a full range of inpatient, outpatient and specialty services including primary care, orthopedics, diagnostic services, and surgical specialties.

This transformative project expands access to quality healthcare in Dublin, Ohio, one of the region’s fastest-growing communities, and reflects Mount Carmel Health System’s ongoing commitment to innovation, accessibility, and patient-centered care.

Hplex Solutions’ Role

As Owner’s Representative, Hplex Solutions provided comprehensive leadership and coordination from site selection through project completion. Our involvement encompassed due diligence, city approvals, design and construction oversight, stakeholder communications, and activation to ensure the project’s success on every front.

Site Selection and Due Diligence

Mount Carmel identified a 35-acre undeveloped soybean farm ideally positioned between Emerald Parkway and Sawmill Road, offering exceptional visibility from a major highway, I-270. Hplex Solutions led the following efforts:

Environmental & Geotechnical Assessments to confirm site viability.
Utility and Land Surveys to evaluate capacity and infrastructure needs.
Traffic Studies and Access Coordination with the City of Dublin, City of Columbus, and Washington Township Fire Department.
Rezoning and Entitlements: Guided an intensive eight-month approval process with Dublin’s Planning Commission and City Council.
Public Improvement Negotiations including roadway widening and roundabout design.
Community Coordination with neighboring associations, Perry Township, and local stakeholders.
Campus Planning Collaboration with the architect and engineer of record to define growth strategies for the site.

Through proactive leadership, Hplex ensured each milestone aligned with the City of Dublin’s long-term development goals while keeping the project on schedule and on budget.

Integrated Project Delivery Approach

To streamline delivery, Hplex Solutions onboarded HGA (Architect) and Danis (Construction Manager) early in the process, establishing an Integrated Team Approach. This model fostered transparency, efficiency, and real-time decision-making throughout every phase.

Key Strategies Implemented

Real-Time Cost Estimating: Continuous evaluation of 200–300 design elements to guide quick, informed decisions.
Advanced Work Packaging: Aligning design schedules with construction sequencing to accelerate progress.
Flow Scheduling: Sequential activation of hospital zones allowed for a rapid transition from Certificate of Occupancy to full operations in just two months.
Onsite Prefabrication: Danis constructed exterior wall panels and MEP racks in an onsite assembly tent, improving quality, safety, and installation speed.

This collaborative model allowed Mount Carmel Dublin to move from groundbreaking to an operational hospital in record time, without compromising quality or functionality.

The new Mount Carmel Dublin campus delivers high-quality, compassionate care in a modern, efficient, and patient-friendly environment. The hospital was completed on time, under budget, and in alignment with Mount Carmel’s vision for growth and service excellence.
