Quarter Three Updates: Projects, Team Growth & Community Impact
As we close out the third quarter, Hplex Solutions is excited to share several updates across our development, property management, and owner’s representation teams. From major groundbreakings to industry leadership, team celebrations, and community engagement, Q3 brought strong momentum and meaningful progress across the organization.
Welcoming New Team Members & Celebrating Milestones
This quarter, we continued to strengthen our growing team by welcoming two additional maintenance technicians and celebrating several important milestones. We recognized the work anniversaries of Brett Coates (1 year), Fernanda Borba de Menezes (2 years), David Smith (6 years), and Kara Solarz, COO & Principal (15 years). We also celebrated joyful family news across the organization: congratulations to the Durda, Conine, and Swain families on the arrival of their new babies.
Events, Conferences & Industry Leadership
Q3 was full of opportunities to connect with industry peers and contribute to conversations shaping the future of healthcare real estate.
At the ASHE 2025 Healthcare Facilities Innovation Conference, held right here in our hometown of Columbus, we partnered with Danis and HGA to host a rooftop VIP reception, creating a memorable evening of connection and collaboration.
Dan Livanec, together with team members from Danis, HGA, and Mount Carmel, delivered an excellent presentation on fast-tracking healthcare projects. The Mount Carmel Dublin Hospital project served as the foundation and inspiration for their discussion, highlighting innovative approaches and real-world insights from the team behind the work.
Dan Livanec and the team were also honored to be selected as presenters at the Healthcare Design Conference + Expo in Kansas City this past October, further showcasing their leadership and expertise within the healthcare development industry.
And in September, David Swain was invited to speak to Ohio State University’s Construction Systems Management Capstone (CSM 4900) students, sharing real-world insights into healthcare facilities, project delivery, and the owner’s rep perspective.
CEO Denny Freudeman spoke at the BOMA Columbus luncheon on healthcare real estate trends and opportunities.
Project Milestones & New Developments
Several major projects reached important milestones this quarter:
Five Rivers Health Center – Xenia Campus
A new 14,500-square-foot community health facility that will offer pediatric, primary care, dental, pregnancy support, and pharmacy services.
The Village of St. Edward – Brimfield Township
A senior living community now under development, featuring Assisted Living and Memory Care designed to support dignity, safety, and well-being.
Dani’s Place – Toledo
A first-of-its-kind mental health rehabilitation center created through powerful community partnerships and designed to support individuals transitioning from inpatient psychiatric care.
UC Health Blood Cancer Healing Center
We continued our role as Owner’s Representative for UC Health’s inpatient bed expansion and sponsored a behind-the-scenes tour for ACHE members.
Company Recognition
A highlight of Q3 was being named one of Columbus Business First’s Best Places to Work for 2025. This recognition is especially meaningful because it’s based on feedback directly from our team and speaks to the strong culture we continue to build.
We were also proud to see Mount Carmel Dublin Hospital earn a Columbus Business First Building Columbus Award for Best New Medical Project. Serving as Owner’s Representative, Hplex Solutions collaborated with Mount Carmel Health System and the project team on this landmark facility, which now stands as a symbol of innovation, resilience, and community pride in Dublin.
Looking Ahead
As we move into the end of the year, we remain energized by the progress made throughout the year and the partnerships that make this work possible. Thank you to our clients, partners, and team members for your ongoing trust and collaboration. We look forward to closing out the year with continued momentum and meaningful impact across the communities we serve.
